Privacy

This page explains what Drafts handles when you sign in, add music, or share a track or playlist.

Account and sign-in

You can sign in with Google or an email sign-in link. Google sign-in provides your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture. Drafts uses this information to identify your account and give you access to your private library. Better Auth and Convex store account records, authentication tokens, and session information. If you request an email link, Drafts sends your address and the one-time link through Resend.

Your library and audio

When you upload music, Drafts stores the audio in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. Convex stores library information such as track names, filenames, durations, content hashes, playlists, profile details, and sharing records. The Mac importer processes MP3s in folders you select and sends the resulting audio and related track information to your Drafts library. It uses file hashes to identify duplicate audio.

Sharing

Tracks and playlists are private to your account unless you create a share link. Anyone with an active share link can listen to the item it covers. You can revoke a link from Drafts; links also expire. Avoid sharing a link with people who should not have access.

Service providers

Drafts uses Google for Google sign-in, Convex for authentication and library data, Cloudflare R2 for audio storage, and Resend to deliver email sign-in links. These providers process information as needed to provide their services.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can stop using the Mac importer or change the folders it watches in its settings. You can revoke share links in Drafts. Drafts does not currently provide a complete self-service account deletion flow. To request deletion of your account information and uploaded music, email mike@gushon.com from the account email address. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting on a request.
